The Glen Rovers icon followed manager Ryan out the door after Cork’s All-Ireland final defeat but revealed he could never refuse the man he calls “the standard-setter”.

Asked straight up if he'd have stayed had Ryan, who has been succeeded by Ben O'Connor, remained, Horgan didn't bother dodging.
