Osborne's star to announce himself

TARKHAN (3.35, nb) looks the answer to the big handicap at Ascot today.

Jamie Osborne's six-year-old has been knocking loudly on the door in recent runs and was chinned by a short head in a similar contest at Newbury two weeks ago.

A nine-time winner in Germany before switching to the Osborne yard, the son of Soldier Hollow tackles the BetMGM Challenge Cup Heritage Handicap. He likes to go forward, has a nice draw and will relish every drop of rain that falls on the Berkshire track.

SUNFALL (1.15, nap) was an excellent winner of the Listed October Stakes 12 months ago and returns to bid for a double.

David O'Meara's filly was a surprise 18-1 winner when rated a lowly 86 last year and this time arrives off an official rating of 101.
