Nine fascinating TG4 movies heading to Galway

Gigs and reels at Film Fleadh

TG4 will have nine of its projects screened at the 2025 Galway Film Fleadh.

The first up is Báite, which will premiere at this year's Fleadh and will be screened at the Town Hall Theatre on July 9 at 7pm.

Set in a rural village during All-Ireland weekend in 1975, it blends murder mystery and family drama as Peggy Casey's life begins to unravel after a body surfaces from the local man-made lake.

Among the other films being screened at the festival are:

Ag Lorg Hy-Brasil - July 9, 1pm at Pálás

This film focuses on a mythical island off the Connemara coast and why it inspired Ireland's exhibit at the Biennale in Venice.

It brings to the fore the symbiotic relationship that exists between islanders and their elemental surroundings.

Focla ar Chanbhás - July 9, 9.30pm at Pálás
