Hallgrimsson eager to have his keepers fit and settled

GAVIN BAZUNU is set to miss Ireland's June friendlies after undergoing knee surgery following the injury that cut short his Standard Liège loan spell.

And by the time the games with Senegal and Luxembourg roll around, Ireland boss Heimir Hallgrimsson is hoping that Caoimhin Kelleher will have ironed out his future.

Kelleher is widely expected to leave Liverpool this summer with a host of Premier League rivals and European clubs vying for the Cork-man's signature.

Kelleher (26) has made no secret of his desire to become an established No 1 away from the newlycrowned Premier League champions and a move looks imminent.

He has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Bournemouth and yesterday, Hallgrimsson said: "I just want him to go to a club where he will play on a regular basis.

"I'm not so bothered where, as he has shown everyone he can play at whatever level.

"He has been playing at the highest level, whether it’s the Champions League or the Premier League and done really well.
