GABRIEL A POCKET ROCKET FOR GUNNERS
Irish Daily Star
|January 01, 2026
GABRIEL has revealed how Arsenal were "spurred on" to beat Aston Villa by their title rivals’ celebrations from their previous clash.
The Gunners defender says he could not resist poking “fun” at Villa midfielder Amadou Onana's trademark ‘pocket’ celebration.
Onana (left) has made a habit of putting his hand in his coat in front of the TV cameras to signify putting another win in his pocket.
Gabriel mimicked Onana by copying his celebration.
Video footage on Arsenal's social media channels after the 4-1 victory showed Gabriel putting his hand in his coat pocket before zipping it up.
