GAA SHOWING 'OUR JIM' THE MIDDLE FINGER

DONEGAL All-Ireland winner Eamon McGee has hit back at the critics who have labelled his county and manager Jim McGuinness 'whingers.'

Writing in his Irish Daily Star column today, McGee expressed his view that part of the reason for the decision to give Donegal just six days' rest ahead of this afternoon's All-Ireland quarter-final against Monaghan, was "a middle finger to Jim McGuinness".

McGuinness objected recently to Hyde Park as the venue for the Donegal/Mayo group game, saying Donegal fans 'were being taken advantage of'.

Donegal GAA expressed their disappointment at the decision to fix the Monaghan game for today, rather than tomorrow, meaning they had only six days' rest, compared to Kerry (eight), and Dublin and Galway (seven).
