DJ accused of sex attacks on seven females

FORMER BBC DJ Tim Westwood has been charged with raping and sexually assaulting seven women and girls over a 33 year period.

The 68-year-old ex-Radio 1 presenter is accused of attacking the alleged victims, some as young as 17, between 1983 and 2016.

He is charged with four counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault, the Met Police said yesterday.

Westwood, of Westminster, central London, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on November 10.

Police have said the former Radio 1 DJ is alleged to have indecently assaulted a 17-year-old girl in the Fulham area of south London in 1983 when he was 25.
