Daniel suspect in welfare fraud quiz

THE woman arrested on suspicion of murdering Daniel Aruebose was also quizzed by gardai as part of a separate investigation into social welfare fraud, we can reveal.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was arrested on Monday, December 22, and detained at Swords Garda Station, where she was questioned for up to 24 hours in connection with the murder of the young child.

Daniel’s skeletal remains were discovered on wasteland in Donabate, north Dublin, following an intensive three-week search. The discovery of the skeletal remains prompted a major Garda investigation.

Sources have confirmed the woman was additionally questioned about suspected social welfare fraud, which is understood to form part of the wider inquiries surrounding the circumstances of Daniel's death.
