COLLINS HAS A BEE IN BONNET ABOUT GAFFER

NATHAN COLLINS has hailed the influence of Keith Andrews at Brentford.

- BY MARK McCADDEN

The Dubliner mastermind another big home win in the Premier League when, on Sunday, the Bees saw off Newcastle with a commanding performance and a 3-1 result.

When Andrews took over from Thomas Frank in the summer - moving up from his role as set-piece coach - it came as a surprise to many.

But not to Collins, who first worked with the former midfielder as an underage international, and again in the senior Ireland setup under Stephen Kenny.

"I've known Keith since I was 15, I've had him as a coach for a long time," said the Leixlip man.

"I had no doubt he'd step into the role and do what he does best, and he's fit in seamlessly really." Does Collins regard it as progress?
