Leinster planning to stick with the same squad for daunting Bulls assignment

- DEREK FOLEY

CAPE OF GOOD HOPE

LEINSTER haven't any plans to send for the cavalry in Dublin following their almost inexplicable hammering by Stormers in Cape Town.

The URC champions were beaten 35-0 on Friday, the first time they have been held scoreless since 2008, while they also conceded a bonus point.

However, boss Leo Cullen has confirmed that there is no intention to fly out any players.

The Blues, who play Bulls at altitude in Pretoria next Saturday, will work with the squad they have brought.

"No, Jamie Osbourne didn't travel in the end, Thomas Clarkson is here but not Jamie," said Cullen, who had suggested early last week that the centre might travel.

"We have the gang that we have so I'll get the medical checks just in case but I think we are pretty much okay."

Just how 'okay' the gang are will be revealed next week in what, on paper, is the toughest game of the season, away to last year's URC finalists on the back of a baffling display.
