UNITED IN POISON AND SPITE
Irish Daily Mirror
|January 03, 2026
Amorim’s set for his first go at a rivalry that shocked even Fergie
JUST when Ruben Amorim needed some comfort and solace, the Manchester United head coach has been left reaching for his tin hat instead.
Because the Portuguese will not get a warm welcome at Elland Road tomorrow.
Amorim will get a red-hot one instead, filled with the sort of poison and spite that even Sir Alex Ferguson could never quite understand.
Unless Amorim has been living under a rock, he should be aware of the genuine hatred that exists between United and Leeds.
Both might have ‘United’ in their names - but nothing could be further from the truth.
This will be Amorim’ first trip to Elland Road since taking charge of United and nothing can quite prepare him for what lies in wait.
