SIX YEARS ago Cory O'Sullivan snuck into the Ultras section behind the goal at the Aviva Stadium, as Shamrock Rovers beat Dundalk on penalties to win the FAI Cup.

So the idea he could be on the pitch on Sunday when the Hoops take on Cork City, bidding for their first success since that cold November day in 2019, is a mindblowing one for the 19-year-old.

O'Sullivan (left) has enjoyed a remarkable season. Having played six times in the Premier Division last year, he made 26 appearances this time around, plus three more in the FAI Cup.

He has also been heavily involved in their Europa Conference League campaign, including a start in last night's game away to AEK Athens.

But Sunday? That'll be a real pinch me moment.
