All-Ireland fans warned not to get stung by scammers as final scramble is 'worse than ever'
FANS claim the scramble for hurling tickets is “worse than last year”, with GAA officials describing it as a “loaves and fishes" moment and warning of scams.
The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final in just four days’ time is reaching fever pitch with fans being warned to beware of ticket scams.
Hundreds of euro could be lost by individual supporters who were duped into buying fraudulent tickets, GAA officials have warned.
They say it is all due to excited anticipation for the sixth ever all-Munster All-Ireland final at Croke Park where hurling giants Cork and Tipperary go head-to-head on Sunday, with throw-in scheduled for 3.30pm.
Even the British & Irish Lions got into the hurling bug, ahead of their first test in Australia.
The Irish contingent was seen passing on some top hurling tips to their teammates, during a friendly training game.
Cork last won the All-Ireland title in 2005 while Tipperary's last successful Liam MacCarthy Cup campaign was in 2019.
Tipp pro Jonathan Cullen told The Star: "Demand has far outweighed availability. It’s a good thing in one sense because it shows the support, but it’s a headache for people as well.
"Some of the stuff that’s going on to get tickets is I don't know what you would call it. People would try anything to try to get tickets.
