'The Family' gang likely involved Second multi-million haul in week

GARDAI were last night questioning a man after customs officials seized a massive cocaine haul in an Irish port for the second time in a week.

The customs staff seized 202kg of cocaine worth €14.2million in Rosslare Europort on Saturday evening.

It follows another seizure of the same drug - worth €10.5million - at the Europort on Monday.

Bulgarian national Toni Atanasot, with an address in Sofia, appeared in court in Wexford on Thursday over Monday's seizure. He was remanded in custody to appear in court again tomorrow. In the latest seizure, customs officers made the discovery when they stopped a lorry that had just disembarked from a ferry from Dunkirk in France on Saturday evening.

Officers said the lorry was stopped as a result of routine profiling.
