Pulling a spine out poisoned woman twice

A WOMAN who received an extremely painful sting after standing on a weever fish, suffered burns to her hands from the poison while trying to pull out the spine.

The woman was stung by the tiny fish while bathing at Linsfort Beach in Buncrana, Co Donegal. Such was the venom released by the fish that it left the woman in excruciating pain.

The woman contacted her local county councillor asking him to issue a warning to local bathers in the area.
