€12.6million for Pink Floyd Gilmour's guitar
THE guitar that David Gilmour played on The Dark Side of the Moon has become the most expensive ever sold after fetching €12.6million at auction.
The Pink Floyd rocker used the black Fender Stratocaster on the band's iconic 1973 album and followups Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall.
It was tipped to fetch €3.36m but an international bidding war meant it finally went for nearly four times the estimate.
