These players being described as works in progress will remain exactly that.
They will never progress because they are not good enough. That is the harsh truth. Liverpool fans do not like to turn on their own and they were patient against Leeds, but there were murmurs of discontent around Anfield at the final whistle. That rarely happens without reason.
