JUSTIN Rose has shared his thoughts on the embrace between his wife and Rory Mcllroy after the Masters, revealing he found the reaction to it "funny".

In a dramatic showdown at Augusta, Rose was edged out by the Co Down man on the first playoff hole, which sparked celebrations from Mcllroy.

Among the post-victory hugs, he was seen embracing a 'mystery woman', who turned out to be Rose's wife, Kate.

She expressed her happiness for Mcllroy, saying: "I'm really, really happy for you."

Despite the sting of defeat, Rose couldn't help but laugh at the buzz surrounding the identity of the woman in question.
