Balaclava-clad gang were angry at transfer rumour

- BY PHIL CARDY

WAYNE Rooney has recalled the scary night a gang of balaclava-clad men turned up at his house.

In October 2010 the former England captain had asked to leave Manchester United, with rumours he wanted to join rivals City.

The 39-year-old told how the mob arrived at his home in the early hours - while wife Coleen was feeding baby son Kai - not knowing he was signing a new deal to stay at the club the next morning.
