Garda blitz on NFL security

- BY EMMA NEVIN

GARDAI have confirmed “large-scale” policing and traffic management plans will be in place for NFL Dublin this weekend.

Over 70,000 fans are set to attend Croke Park on Sunday to see the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings battle it out on Irish soil. Kickoff is at 2.30pm and the stiles at GAA HQ will open from 11.30am.

Gardai have warned that heavy volumes of traffic can be expected in Dublin city centre and in the general Dublin 3 area throughout the day.
