Lewis shrugs off transfer speculation to prove his worth to Pep and says: I can't see myself leaving
RICO LEWIS has heard the rumours. But he's staying at Manchester City.
The England international, heavily linked with a move to Nottingham Forest. But asked directly about the interest, he said: “For me, I've never, ever, seen myself leaving. I've always wanted to play for Manchester City. It's my dream.
“As you've seen, when I'm playing with the kind of players I'm playing with at this club, it brings out the best in me. So I'm happy.”
Lewis has spoken to boss Pep Guardiola, about added game time but admits it is his own responsibility to prove he is worthy of a shirt. “It’s difficult,” he said, “I've spoken to the manager but not too much.
“Everyone wants an assurance and security but it's on me to perform.
“It's on me to take the chances. If I take those chances, I do. If I don't, then I have to work and get better.
