OWEN'S READY OR KNOT
Irish Daily Mirror

OWEN FARRELL admits the very thought of linking up with the Lions or making an emotional England comeback would "tie me in knots".
Injuries to Andy Farrell's or Steve Borthwick's touring squads may well see the 33-year-old go from returning to his Saracens "home" after a frustrating year in France, to flying off to Australia or Argentina and America.
The former England captain clearly has the appetite to return to the international stage, but said:
"If you start thinking like that, you can tie yourself in knots. All I can do is focus on what is going on here at Sarries, and get myself in the best place I can be.
"It's hard. I don't want to say I am interested in going here or there because I've just got my foot through the door back here.
"But I'm not retired, no. I want to make the most of every opportunity and season now.
"When the Lions does come around, you just feel how special it is. It's hard to describe.
On the possibility of adding to his 112 England caps-two years after his last one – he revealed:
"I've kept in touch with Steve. He came out to Racing earlier in the season.
"I've loved my England career and I've enjoyed watching England play, watching the lads do really well.
"Fin Smith has been great. England have clearly got some great options at 10."
