Naturalist Eoin Warner shines a spotlight on country's most enchanting landscapes

IRELAND may be famous for its “forty shades of green”, but a new television series is set to shine a vital spotlight on one of the country’s most enchanting natural treasures - the stark, grey desert of the Burren in County Clare.

Oilean Glas, Fasach Ban (Green Island, White Desert) is a yearlong exploration of this magical “otherworld,” guided by naturalist and presenter Eoin Warner.

The series follows Warner as he dives, treks, and camps rough across the limestone expanse, seeking out the wild animals that call its land and waters home.

The Burren, despite its barren appearance, supports an astonishing variety of life.
