Celia on movie's sleuth gang
CELIA Imrie says the four main actors in new crime comedy The Thursday Murder Club bonded just like the characters in the novel.
Celia, 73, plays Joyce Meadowcroft, a newcomer to retirement village Cooper's Chase, while Helen Mirren, 80, stars as former MI5 spy Elizabeth Best.
Ben Kingsley, 81, plays Ibrahim Arif and Pierce Brosnan, 72, is Ron Ritchie.
In the book they form an unlikely alliance of pensioners to solve crime.
Celia said: “It is the way we became a team that I love. And I was excited every day when I woke up and thought of coming to work with these fantastic actors. I couldn't believe my luck.”
