Clancy will take his time to find the right man to be his new assistant

- DARRY DOYLE

NO NEED 2 RUSH

TIM CLANCY is in talks with a number of candidates to become his No.2.

His trusted assistant, Jamie Hamill, had to leave City to return to Scotland for family reasons. In his absence, Greg Bolger will become player-coach but Clancy is also seeking a new assistant manager.

He admitted: "I am speaking to a few candidates. What you are looking for is someone you trust, a trust which I shared with Hammo 100%.

"There are a few we are talking to. It is not a major panic to get someone in. The good news is we also have Greg who is vastly experienced as a player and who is on board now as a player-coach.

"He is also part of the coaching staff and we will be also hoping to get him back on the field once his injury clears."

Injuries have been a nightmare for Cork this year with Bolger, Seani Maguire and most recently, Ruairi Keating, struck down with various issues.
