NEW FACES FOR DWTS BUT ALSO CHANCE FOR ‘NEW MEMORIES'

ARTHUR Gourounlian says Dancing With The Stars will be very different when it returns in January, but that it is time to “create new memories”.

- BY MICHELLE TOWNSEND

Arthur joined the judging panel in 2022 alongside Loraine Barry and Brian Redmond, and last year welcomed dancer Karen Byrne to the fold.

There are more changes on the way as Loraine has now exited the show, and Strictly legend Oti Mabuse will take on the role of head judge when it returns in a couple of months to RTE One.

Speaking about the changes, Arthur said he will miss Loraine but respects her decision to move on from the hit show.

He told RSVP magazine: "I auditioned for Dancing With The Stars in 2021 and from the day I walked in she was so demure and elegant. I will never forget when I got the call to say I got the job, she messaged me to say how proud she was of me.

"I then went for dinner with her and Brian Redmond and we had the most incredible evening getting to know each other.

"She really took me under her wing and told me I just had to be myself. I had the most incredible four years working with her, she is just amazing.
