NA PIARSAIGH HAVE AN EXTRA EDGE ON DOON
Irish Daily Mirror
|October 20, 2025
NA PIARSAIGH emerged after extra-time in a titanic Limerick senior hurling final struggle with holders Doon, on a scoreline of 2-25 to 2-18, to land a ninth title.
Their goals came from Adrian Breen and Conor Boylan as they held Doon to just a point in extra-time, as they hit eight.
In Cork, James Sweeney's two goals were key as last year's All-Ireland hurling finalists Sarsfields defeated Midleton 2-18 to 1-14 in the Cork Premier Senior Championship final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
In Westmeath, Castletown-Geoghegan and Lough Lene Gaels will have to doit all over again after finishing level at Cusack Park. Niall O'Brien hit 0-15 for Castletown-Geoghegan, with 0-14 coming from placed balls with David Williams hitting 1-12 for Lough Lene Gaels, with 1-9 coming from frees, 65s and sidelines.
