MURDER PROBE AS MAN STABBED TO DEATH

Cops investigating if killing is linked to arson & assault on bus

POLICE are investigating if an arson, an attack on the Glider and a murder in the North are connected.

Emergency services arrived in Twinbrook, West Belfast, on Thursday evening following the incidents which included the death of Shane Lowry who suffered fatal stab wounds.

They took place within a short time span in locations relatively close to one another.

A flat off the Stewartstown Road was torched at around 7.30pm was followed by an attack on a Glider vehicle on the same road.

Reports of the attack on Mr Lowry in Mulberry Park area of Dunmurry emerged at around 8.15pm.
