Kop agree a massive £116m deal for German wonderkid

LIVERPOOL have agreed a deal for Florian Wirtz that could smash the British transfer record.

Wirtz, 22, will complete a move to Anfield next week after the Reds finally reached agreement with Bayer Leverkusen. The champions will pay £100million up front, with the rest (up to £16m) due in add-ons linked to the success of player and team.

The German has been given the green light to travel to Merseyside to undergo a medical and complete the formalities, with personal terms already sorted. The deal is a record signing for the Reds, in excess of the £85m they paid Benfica for Darwin Nunez.
