Ireland just couldn't party with genocide

DO you remember when the World Cup and the Eurovision used to be a bit of craic, harmless distractions from all of the troubles in the world?

- JOE O'SHEA

Ireland just couldn't party with genocide

Well, now they are the trouble. And you can't just enjoy a football tournament or a bit of a singsong, you have to pick sides as both competitions are hijacked by the Worst People on the Planet.

But at least Ireland has made the right choice and shown true leadership with the Eurovision.

There's no way we could have taken part next year, with the Israelis still bombing the rubble of Gaza and letting their homicidal “settlers” murder farmers and destroy their lands in the West Bank and elsewhere.

We couldn't party with genocide. And looking to our own history, we have to take a stand for people being starved and forced out of their lands.
