SOUL ICON can prove his stamina at beyond three miles with a win in the 64th Badger Beers Handicap Chase (3.30) at Wincanton this afternoon.
Keiran Burke's eight-year-old hasn't race beyond two miles and five furlongs but both his pedigree and run style suggest the new trip is well worth exploring.
Soul Icon goes well fresh and, from a mark just 1lb above the rating from which he won the Desert Orchid Handicap Chase at Kempton last Christmas, looks nicely weighted.
