Rudakubana's threat to kill dad before attack; Lax controls over lad ended in 'catastrophe'

SOUTHPORT killer Axel Rudakubana threatened to murder his dad if he was kicked out of home.

During one outburst, he raged at him: "It may take days, weeks, months or even years but trust me, I will kill you."

The threat to dad Alphonse came just months before his murderous knife attack on a kids' dance class last year.

In a statement to a public inquiry into the atrocity, Alphonse said he was sorry for the catastrophic consequences of his lack of parental control.

But as he gave evidence via an audio link from a secret location yesterday, he admitted he had feared that his son, then just 17, would be taken away.
