A DAD made a chilling confession to a paramedic while kneeling over the lifeless body of his wife who had a knife lodged in her chest.

Stephen Mooney is currently inside Mountjoy Prison and is preparing for his first Christmas behind bars as a life-sentence inmate.

This is after he eventually pleaded guilty to murdering wife Anna Mooney, 43, at their home in Kilbarrack, north Dublin, in June 2023, while their two children were upstairs.

The 53-year-old recorded her horrifying final moments after secretly setting up a camera in the phone PIN to expose a suspected affair.
