But Eddie Howe has warned frustrated fans not to step out of line with abuse.
Howe has issued a staunch defence of Nick Pope after the keeper came under intense and stinging criticism after his blunder in Marseille.
The Newcastle head coach was spared the decision of axing Pope at Everton after the England international was hurt in training - and is now facing more treatment on his groin.
