Homeless have been forgotten, charities say
Irish Daily Mirror
|October 09, 2025
CAMPAIGNERS have claimed homelessness was “invisible” in Budget 2026, saying ministers completely failed to mention the record number of people living on the streets in their Dail speeches.
Neither Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe nor Public Expenditure Minister Jack Chambers referred to homelessness at all in their speeches on Tuesday.
And charities are saying there are no meaningful measures in place to help the 16,353 people in this country without a roof over their heads.
