Freddie Flintoff presents a new series of the classic darts quiz show
Legendary cricketer Freddie Flintoff is thrilled to be the host for the return of iconic darts quiz Bullseye, but he’s not so pleased about delivering one of the show's classic catchphrases.
"The catchphrase I like the least is 'have a look at what you could have won," he says. “I'm never quite sure how to say it because you don't want to rub it in when they lose and you're trying to sound quite sad... but it’s part of the show and you've got to say it. I have a heart though, so I don't like saying it often.”
Following the Christmas special last year, the new series keeps the same format as the original show hosted by Jim Bowen that ran from 1981 to 1995 and featured the famous bull mascot Bully. An amateur darts player, known as the ‘thrower’, and their partner, ‘the knower’, combine their skills by throwing darts at different game boards while answering questions in the hope of winning cash and prizes.
