GALLAS: HAPPY EBER AFTER AT THE GUNNERS

WILLIAM GALLAS claims Eberechi Eze snubbed Tottenham because he has a better chance of winning trophies with Arsenal.

Former France defender Gallas, who himself crossed the north London divide, says the Gunners are far more likely to get their hands on silverware.

Gallas captained Arsenal during four years at the Emirates before making a controversial move to Tottenham in 2010. He knew the switch would enrage Arsenal fans but now he seems sure to draw the wrath of Spurs fans.

The ex-Chelsea centre-half says Eze (top) would have balanced getting more regular games at Spurs against a near guarantee of success with Arsenal.

Gunners showed an interest in Eze at the start of the window but Tottenham were in the driving seat until Mikel Arteta's late intervention.
