IT took Freddie Woodman a while to realise Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk were 'just normal blokes'.
Fortunately, the keeper, 29, has come out of his hero-worship period as he prepares to lineup alongside them against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
It will be his first Premier League start for the Reds.
Woodman moved to Anfield as third-choice keeper when his contract at Preston ended last summer. But he will start against Palace - the club he supported as a boy - after replacing Giorgi Mamardashvili (inset) during Sunday's Merseyside derby.
The Georgian, who has been deputising for the injured Alisson, sustained a nasty cut to his leg and faces a couple of weeks out.
