Ireland mourns after yet another day of tragedies

A WOMAN has died after being hit by a bus in Galway.

The collision happened at Wellpark on Monday at 8.45pm. The woman - who has been named as Marie Hession - was a pedestrian in her 80s and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the Dublin Road, Wellpark, Galway City yesterday.”

In Co Roscommon, a woman in her 80s has died in a road crash.
