FEARNOT is fancied to put the wind up his rivals in the Group 3 Superior Mile Stakes (1.15) at Haydock this afternoon.

Clive Cox's (right) three-year-old takes a step up in class after spending most of the campaign in handicap company — but Fearnot can prove up to the job.

Successful over today’s trip at Ascot in May, Fearnot then went under by a neck and a head when third to Arabian Story in the Britannia Handicap at the Royal meeting the following month. Back in business with a half-length defeat of Bullet Point over Ascot's straight mile next time, Fearnot was undone by a wide draw when eighth to Fifth Column at York most recently.
