Gisele Pelicot back at court for appeal of one of 50 attackers
BRAVE Gisele Pelicot was cheered by crowds as she returned to court yesterday to face one of the men convicted of raping her.
Husamettin Dogan, sentenced to nine years in prison in December last year, is appealing his conviction, denying he intended to rape her.
He was one of 50 men jailed last year following a landmark guilty verdict in a horrific drugging and rape trial that shocked France.
Ms Pelicot’s ex-husband Dominique Pelicot was jailed for 20 years after admitting drugging her, raping her and offering her to strangers online.
He also filmed the assaults, which spanned nine years from 2011 to 2020.
