Neighbours icon Jason Donovan tells us why making a special cameo appearance in Emmerdale “felt right”

Neighbours legend Jason Donovan is back in Soapland - making a special cameo appearance in Emmerdale.

The much-loved performer swapped Ramsay Street for the Yorkshire Dales and will play himself – even belting out his hit song Too Many Broken Hearts in The Woolpack.

While the cast were thrilled to have the I'm A Celebrity star and stage actor on board, Jason insists that it was just as much fun for him.

In the episodes, he will surprise superfan Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) with a concert in the village pub, after she misses out on tickets to his gig. The Especially For You singer, 57, loved the storyline mapped out for him as it reflects his real life.
