Galway's first Radisson RED is nearly a great offering, says Paul Kavanagh

THERE'S a new sheriff in town on the Galway hotel scene, with the Radisson Red going all in on offering a fresh alternative for visitors to the wild west.

Funky, sassy and easy on the eye, the Radisson Red does deliver on many fronts.

First impressions paint the hotel in a good light the black, white and red colour theme and layout gives a nice bougie feel; several old-school touches married to more edgy industrial elements conjure a feeling of vibrancy in the foyer.

An unmissable bright red grand piano takes centre stage in the reception, and several pieces of local modern art dotted around the building lend a dash of cool to proceedings.

My room continued in this theme, with the colour scheme and modern styling keeping things looking smart. But although pretty, I was surprised at how tight it was.
