TADHG BEIRNE is set to continue as Munster skipper after his superb summer with the British and Irish Lions.
Beirne, 33, had not captained any team prior to succeeding Peter O'Mahony in the role last season.
He grew into the role as the Reds dug deep to earn Champions Cup qualification for this season and reached the quarterfinals of the European competition, as well as the URC semifinals.
The Kildare man was Munster's only representative in Andy Farrell's Lions squad and he excelled in exalted company.
