American hostility leaves McIlroy unfazed in the rough

RORY Mcllroy has had his first taste of Ryder Cup hostility, with USA fans giving the European star a tough time during one of his practice rounds.

Both teams have been getting a feel for Bethpage Black this week ahead of the beginning of the match tomorrow, and McIlroy has been seen getting some reps in on the course, with thousands of fans packing in to watch the practice days.

On one of the holes, McIlroy found himself short-sided with a wedge in hand, and proceeded to blade one straight over the back of the green.
