Walker's filly has the speed to win a Group 1
-
ROYAL FIXATION is fancied to give Ed Walker the first Group 1 victory of a stellar season by landing the Tattersalls Sceptre Sessions Cheveley Park Stakes (2.25) at Newmarket today.
Walker has captured six domestic Group prizes during a season to remember, including Royal Fixation's triumph in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York last month.
Now the daughter of Palace Pier steps up to the highest level, and is expected to prove up to the task.
On the back of a debut score at Thirsk in June, Royal Fixation ran a blinder to finish a neck second to Venetian Sun, winner of Deauville’s Group 1 Prix Morny on her next start, in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket's July Festival.
