IRISH visitors to Liverpool will have to fork out a £2-a-night "tourist tax" from June.
A ballot by Accommodation BID, which represents 83 hotels in the city, showed the majority were in favour of the €2.34 charge.
They believe it will raise €10.7million over two years, of which €7.9m will go towards supporting the visitor economy.
