Delhi Police bust interstate gang involved in ATM, mobile phone thefts

The Delhi Police have busted an interstate gang involved in a string of high-profile ATM and mobile phone showroom thefts.In a special operation, the police arrested two men, including the kingpin, Farman, and his close associate Asif and confiscated a stolen ATM machine, and a car, along with tools, and fake number plates used in the thefts, the police said The police launched an investigation following the theft of an ATM machine from a Kotak Mahindra ATM booth in Govindpuri on March 27.Through extensive CCTV footage analysis and deployment of local informers, the team identified the prime suspects — Farman and Asif. A special force tracked the movements of the accused in several states and nabbed the accused following raids in Joya Amroha in Uttar Pradesh and areas of Delhi.
