Aligarh cow vigilante assault case: Meat in vehicle was not beef, forensic lab confirms

Four days after four men were allegedly assaulted by cow vigilantes in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh on the suspicion that they were transporting beef, the police said on Wednesday that a forensic science laboratory had confirmed that it was not cow meat.
The police had said earlier that the men were transporting buffalo meat.Police Inspector Dheeraj Kumar, the station house officer of Harduaganj police station, confirmed the development.
