On Saturday, Hull KR have the opportunity to become just the fifth team in Super League to win the treble.

In their way, Wigan Warriors, the team who achieved the same thing last year and are chasing history themselves, looking to become just the third side to achieve a three-peat.

For Rovers, the prize is clear. Already heroes locally, they can become Super League immortals. They will join a list of incredible sides if they succeed, featuring some of the all-time greats.

Bradford in 2003, St Helens in 2006, Leeds in 2015 and Wigan in 2024 are the only other occasions when a team has secured the League Leaders' Shield, Challenge Cup and Super League title in the same campaign.

From Andy Farrell to Keiron Cunningham to Jamie Peacock, the roll call of legends who have graced the Super League since its inception in 1996 is extensive.

Here's a look back.

Brian Noble's squad became the first in Super League history to achieve the treble. That alone carries a certain prestige. The Bulls were simply invincible in 2003, storming to victory with a blend of skill, raw physical power and no shortage of character.

Their squad boasted legendary names such as Shontayne Hape, Lesley Vainikolo, Robbie Paul, Paul Deacon, Jimmy Lowes and Jamie Peacock.

Australian Michael Withers was a standout presence at fullback, while Hape and Scott Naylor formed the centre pairing and hulking wings Tevita Vaikona and Vainikolo patrolled the flanks.

Vainikolo, affectionately known as 'The Volcano, had the ability to decimate opposition defences singlehandedly, thanks to his speed and strength. He scored 26 tries that year.
